“This RV resort is unique.”
Property Manager Zack Ebner and his wife Jennifer landed their dream gig when they agreed to join the staff at the RV Resort at Walnut, Creek. Experienced, full-time RVers, they were thrilled to be chosen to help manage the hidden gem.

What does Zack find so unique? It starts with the tender loving care that has gone into transforming the wooded property into a sought-after RV resort. Despite its modest size, with just over 30 RV sites, the resort offers a full range of amenities – including visitor cabins that can be booked by the general public or by guests looking to invite family and friends for visits.
While the location feels like its remote, it’s just over 20 minutes to the near emergency room – Houston Methodist Emergency Care Center in Magnolia, located at 18230 FM 1488 # 101, Magnolia, TX 77354. (Visit https://www.houstonmethodist.org/locations/emergency-care-centers/magnolia/ for more information.)

Guests are welcome to bring along their pooch pals as long as they remain leashed and follow the property’s policies. The resort has recently opened its lighted, gated dog park so that pups can run around and play, and plans are in the works to add a dog washing station.
Another unique feature is the Horned Lizard Cookshack. Guests who register for the property’s safety training course can obtain a special Horned Lizard Cookshack Grillmaster Apron upon successful completion. The grillmaster apron grants permission to use the Horned Lizard Cookshack’s kitchen and grilling facilites without resort staff present.

“The resort is a great place for full-time RVers to settle down and benefit from the affordable living costs,” says co-founder Mitch Sanders. While the wide range of amenities is a boon to all guests, Mitch and his wife Cassandra Sanders have thoughtfully planned the resort to accommodate longterm RV living.
The shade of the cookshack’s covered deck and the breeze of portable AC units allow guests to gather in the great outdoors at even the height of summer in Texas. “This is the very reason we built this place,” says Mitch. “It’s about meeting people, hearing their stories, and making friends.”
